Let me tell you something about myself

I was born in Italy, precisely in Ascoli Piceno

I earned my Bachelor’s in applied psychological science in 2008 (102/110), a master degree’s in clinical and dynamic psychology in 2010 (110/110 cum laude), and a PhD in neurobiology (my major was in clinical psychology and psychiatry) in 2015 at the University of L’ Aquila. My PhD thesis was about the influence of humiliation dynamics on psychopathology, particularly depression. If you are interested in my publications here is my Google Scholar page.

I attended a cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) school (it is the same as an American Psy.D program) in Rome from January 2013 to December 2016 and I graduated on January, 25th, 2017.

I got married to Giorgia in September 2015. We have been together since 2005. She is a very patient and wise woman.

Giorgia is a researcher in biology and she got a postdoc appointment at UCLA in February 2017. We moved to LA for this reason.

I volunteered for one year (2017/2018) at the StressLab, UCLA.

I started working as a psychological associate at Renewed Freedom Center, West LA, in October 2018.

I became the father of two beautiful kids, Elena born in 2020, and Massimo born in 2023.

After I endured blood and tears, I finally got my license as a psychologist in California (PSY 34871) in February 2024.

I started my private practice online and in-person in December 2024. Moreover, I collaborate with Growing Minds Counseling online.

I love playing and hanging out with my wife and my kids. I like going to the gym and hiking. I am crazy about sports, especially soccer.
